ProCut X & ProCut XL Questions
What is the difference between the ProCut X and the ProCut XL?
Both are Velocity automatic cutting machines with the same tools, operation, installation, training, warranty and support. The ProCut X uses a closed-loop conveyor table and comes in four sizes up to 6.89 × 8.20 ft. The ProCut XL uses a fixed static table built in custom sizes for large-format cutting.
Should I choose a conveyor or a static cutter?
A conveyor cutter like the ProCut X is a good fit for continuous roll-fed production that benefits from automatic material advancement. The static ProCut XL is the choice when you need a large cutting area on a fixed table, built in custom sizes. A Velocity specialist can help you decide based on your materials and production.
What tools do the ProCut X and ProCut XL use?
Both machines have two interchangeable tool stations plus a dedicated pen station. Tool options are the active circular knife, drag knife and notch plus drill, which you swap between the two stations depending on the job, plus the pen tool for marking.
What warranty and support are included?
Both machines include a 3-year parts warranty, 1 year and 6 months of technical support by phone, remote access and video conferencing, free firmware and software updates, and additional spare parts for onsite use.
Is installation and training included?
Yes. Both machines include 5–7 days of onsite installation and operator training by a certified technician, covering setup, software, tools and cutting procedures.
Do I need to buy a service contract?
No. A service contract is not mandatory. Optional service contracts are available if you prefer a formal agreement. After the included support period, you can request service as needed.
Which CAD systems and file formats are compatible?
Both the ProCut X and ProCut XL are compatible with major CAD systems, including Gerber, Lectra, Optitex, TukaTech and others. Supported file formats include DXF, HPGL and CUT.
